Luke Trickett

Senior Designer

My inspiring journey into Graphic Design started over 10 years ago at the ‘World Renowned’ West Herts College in sunny Watford! I studied hard and eventually qualified top of my class with a degree in Typographic Design. I financed my way through University by taking on a number of colourful jobs which not only helped to clear my beer tab but taught me many important life skills. These included a stint as a magicians assistant, a life model for a local Arts and Crafts Class and a part-time Stuntman at a Wild West Theme Park, YEE HAAA! All were extremely enjoyable but none provided the buzz that I still experience with Graphic Design.

Since the early days at University I have continued to develop my graphic design skills and have gained valuable experience through working at numerous award winning agencies with a number of inspirational Creative Directors*. This path has led me to Sprout where I now am lucky enough to work on a wide variety of projects from a broad spectrum of clients.

I like:

Away from the crazy world of design I am unfortunately a passionate Everton supporter and a keen golfer, with a handicap of 16 and rising. All pub based activities. I am an avid watcher of 24, Dragons Den, Lost and Heroes. Cooking, I can knock up a mean roast dinner and there’s nothing in the Wagamama cookbook I can’t handle. The Shaston, the Sun and the Clachan. Visiting my local cinema and discothéque at the weekends. And last but not least, the king of biscuits the McVities Digestive!

I dislike:

Everton losing to Liverpool or anyone else for that matter, vegetarian food, what’s the point, losing at squash to one legged women from Watford. Gaymers.

*David made me say this!
