Fratelli

Malini identity
The brief:
Fratelli is a new Italian restaurant opening in Newcastle upon Tyne. With contemporary interiors, the restaurant will be targeting a more sophisticated clientele. To compliment the interior design, they approached Sprout to design the brand identity and accompanying collateral for use within the restaurant.
Solution:
We introduced a strong contemporary font for this identity as we wanted to utilise the negative space between the two ‘L’s’. Using this area we could introduce illustrations to tailor the identity for each specific application i.e. cork screw - wine lists, fork and knife - menu, cocktail glass - bar menu and iternal signage such as toilets - male and female. We then introduced a strong yet warm brown colour in keeping with the interior design of the restaurant itself.
